Take Route 66 to beltway to 270 to Frederick. Take route 15 north thru PA into NY. Choose route 390 over 15A. Take Route 90 west. Wed. AM get onto QEW toward Toronto

As you approach downtown Toronto on the QEW, you will pass the Canadian national exhibition on your right from an elevated roadway. It's like a State fair and runs two weeks including Labor Day.The exit past Spadina from the QEW (Gardner) will give you a choice of underpasses under the railroad for Yonge Street, Bay Street and University Avenue (York St.). I don't recall whether a convenient left turn is permitted at Yonge or Bay onto front Street going west. If not, the alternatives are 1) to take Yonge one block further to Wellington, which is one-way, to turn left, turn left again on Bay and then turn right on Front or 2) take University underpass to York St. (one way) and go up two blocks to King Street to turn east to Bay turn right to Front and right again to the hotel. If your instructions are to go to the
auto entrance, you can take University underpass, turn east on Front and turn left in the middle of the block into the auto entrance.

Mon. leave the convention about 4 PM after closing ceremonies, get car, get luggage from hotel, retrace route out of town, stay Mon. night at Econo Lodge By the Falls. Somewhere enroute I'd like to get ginger marmalade and orange marmalade (brand might be Chivers or Robertson), Cadbury chocolate or cocoa powder, and small oval cans of fish for a friend (Papan) (grocery name might be Loblaw) and VERY, VERY sharp aged cheddar for me.

Tues. retrace route home.
