Attend the first ever Heinlein Awards Dinner at Torcon III

This is the inaugural presentation of the newly-created Heinlein Awards. One or more awards will be presented by a distinguished panel of judges for excellence in writing science fact or fact that inspires humanity's expansion into space.

The judges are Greg Bear, Joe Haldeman, Yoji Kondo, Elizabeth Moon, Larry Niven, Jerry Pournelle, Spider Robinson, Stanley Schmidt, Herb Gilliand, and John Hill. The late Charles Sheffield was a founding judge for this award.

As many as possible will be at the dinner themselves. So will a large number of other luminaries of the SF community. Don't miss it!

Cocktails and reception beginning at 6 PM sharp, Friday, August 29, 2003, at Joe Badali's Italian Ristorante, 156 Front Street West, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, one block east of Torcon3 headquarters.

Dinner at 7 PM sharp. Menu includes a bruchetta appetizer, salad, a choice of five excellently prepared to order entrees (meat, fish, shellfish, chicken and vegetarian, and dessert, coffee or tea. A choice of wine will be provided at the table, courtesy of The Heinlein Society. All other beverages are on a no-host bar basis.
8:30 PM, Dessert, Welcome, Awards Presentation, and Concluding Remarks. There will be an audio visual presentation after the Awards.

Tickets for this gala occasion are $75 (US) until August 23, 2003. RSVP. Late reservations at the Con or at the door at $100 (US). Look for The Heinlein Society fan table.
