"Red Barchetta" and "Tom Sawyer." - Gary's favourite Rush tine is Red Barchetta, and if we have time after the dance officially ends at 2:00 we try and sneak in one or two non-danceables at the end that are just fun to listen to loud, and that's usually one of them. As for Tom Sawyer, we use Rush's dance remix. (When I saw them live this past summer they opened with that tune - i was kidding my pals they were going to do the dance version.) There are also two of their songs that we use for slow dances - Tears and Different Strings.
It is a Sci-Fi dance, so we do play sci-fi remixes but ones that are fun, surprising, recognizable and of course danceable. It's not meant to be a dance like you'd get in a club - it's a FenDance. But don't worry, you'll still hear a great bunch of kick-ass Retro-80's faves too.
